KCP-PWG observes 4th Foundation Day

The proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP)-People’s War Group (Marxist Centre) or KCP-PWG on Friday observed its 4th foundation day.

In a press note, KCP-PWG said that the group observed the day in Manipur and outside of the state. Recalling that it was founded with the objective of establishing a socialist state, KCP-PWG said that the event was participated by people who were reeling under the “oppressive colonial rule” of India.

The main event at the GHQ was attended by the outfit’s chairman “comrade Baji macha, general secretary comrade Moramba and chief of central finance comrade Ningthouna. On the occasion, the outfit paid floral tribute to Lamyanba Hijam Irabot and KCP founder Baji Ibohanbi and those members who had been imprisoned, said the release issued by Lenin Meitei, secretary, central media coordinator.

The release also added that apart from hoisting the party flag, the outfit donated ration to some valley based orphan home/old age home. The chief guest of the event was chairman comrade Baji Macha and he spoke on how the people should fight for achieving an “independent socialist state” apart from uprooting capitalism and persuading people not to have “anti-revolutionary feelings” as desired by “reactionary forces”, said the release. KCP-PWG also expressed gratitude to people who had extended a helping hand.
