Bijapur District, June 12, 2022: Security forces arrested three cadres of the CPI (Maoist) from separate places in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Saturday.

Bijapur Additional Superintendent of Police Pankaj Shukla identified them as Lalita Muchaki, Sukka Madkam and Punem Sannu, both aged 28.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the police apprehended Muchaki and Madkam near Putkel village while Sannu was apprehended from Gundem village during the search operation, he added.

Muchaki was a Local Organization Squad (LOS) member of the Maoist party and carried a bounty of Rs 1 lakh on her head, Shukla said.

The two others were lower ranking cadres in the Maoist party.

The police recovered a detonator, a pipe bomb, electric wires and four gelatins from Muchaki and Madkam.
