CPN-RM to protest against arrest of its cadres

KATHMANDU, Sept 22: The Communist Party of Nepal (Revolutionary Maoist) (CPN-RM) led by Kiran group is all set to hit the streets against the arrest of its cadres by the police.

Police on Wednesday arrested four cadres including a central member of the party Shiva Ram Yadav and Ram Nepali, central coordinator of the All Nepal National Independent Students Union (Revolutionary) (ANNISU) on the charge of extortion from Bagbazaar on Wednesday.

Organizing a press conference at the party headquarters in Buddha Nagar on Thursday, the CPN-RM decided to stage a vehicular strike from 10 to 11 am on Thursday, whistle rally on Friday and valley banda on Saturday.

CPN (Maoist Revolutionary) said it mobilized its cadres including central members for raising fund but denied charges of extortion.
