PM Dahal Holds Meeting With CPN General Secretary Chand Following Announcement Of Socialist Front

Kathmandu, June 22, 2023: A meeting was held between Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal and CPN General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand. The two leaders met this morning at Baluwatar, the official residence of Prime Minister Dahal.

During the meeting, the two discussed the atmosphere in the aftermath of the declaration of a Socialist Front of four leftist parties including the Chand-led CPN, CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist) and Janata Samajwadi Party on June 19 and the country’s contemporary political affairs, according to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.

The Prime Minister’s private secretary Ganga Dahal said that the two leaders held a serious discussion about making the Samajwadi Morcha (Socialist Front) effective, protecting the achievements of the Maoist movement, and unification between the two parties.
