Netra Bikram Chand Appointed Coordinator Of Socialist Front Of Nepal

Kathmandu, February 18, 2024: The Socialist Front of Nepal, a coalition of four Communist and Socialist parties, has named CPN General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand as the coordinator of the Front.

The decision was taken during a meeting of the Front earlier this morning.

Leaders representing the CPN (Maoist Centre), Janata Samajwadi Party, CPN (Unified Socialist), and the Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand were in attendance.

Previously, the member parties had agreed to take terms to lead the Front.

The Front was previously led by Prime Minister and Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Chairperson of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal.

The Socialist Front is comprised of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Janata Samajwadi Party, CPN (Unified Socialist), and the Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand.
