CPI (Maoist) Sub-Zonal Commander Arrested By Police In Latehar District
Latehar District, October 28, 2023: A senior Maoist leader was arrested in Jharkhand’s Latehar district on Saturday, police said.
The detained Maoist cadre has been identified as Aghanu Ganju, a sub-zonal commander of the CPI (Maoist), they announced.
Acting on a tip-off, he was taken into custody by police personnel from the Betar forest in Chandwa police station area, they stated.
Superintendent of Police Anjani Anjan said Aghanu is considered the second-in-command of the Maoist party’s leading regional cadre Ravindra Ganju.
Aghanu was sent to judicial custody by a court, police concluded.
