CPI (Maoist) Squad Executes Former BSF Jawan In West Singhbhum District On Suspicion Of Being Police Informant

West Singhbhum District, September 8, 2023: A former Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was executed by a squad of cadres belonging to the CPI (Maoist) in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district on suspicion of being a police informant, an officer announced to the press on Friday.

The informant was identified as Sukhlal Purty. CPI (Maoist) leaflets were found beside the body, the officer said.

A squad of Maoist cadres allegedly entered Purty’s house on Thursday night and executed him in Kashijoda village under Kadamdiha panchayat on suspicion of being a police informant.

When contacted, Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar confirmed the incident.
