USA, Kansas City: KCPD and III%er works hand in hand

We have received an email of a disturbing video of today’s rally calling for the renaming of the J.C. Nichols Fountain and against a Confederate Memorial on the Country Club Plaza.

As the rally started a number of people noticed men positioned on the hill overlooking the fountain carrying assault rifles and forming a perimeter they appeared to be militiamen part of the III%er movement.

The day prior to this a group of these same men showed with assault rifles at another rally calling for the abolition of the racist prison system. At this rally it was asked why they were there and one responded that “KCPD told them to come”.

***In this video we also have a III%er express himself clearly that the Kansas City Missouri Police Department asked them to be there.***

At no point during this demonstration were demonstrators asked for “protection” by a group of armed men. Kansas City’s laws prevent the use of open carry without carrying a conceal and carry license, at no point were these men asked by KCPD to produce such documentation.

The relaxed attitude of KCPD towards armed militiamen is a stark contrast to many of the protests led by leftists in Kansas City. The KCPD at no point came out with assault weapons as they do with a group of unarmed protesters.

The III%er presence at a peaceful assembly of citizens stands as an intimidation tactic utilized by the Far-Right and practiced by the KCPD who bring forward drones, horses and armoured vehicles to rallies, picnics and other social gatherings of leftists here in the city. Answers must be given as to what clearly was observed by many on the ground on two occasions in which militiamen remarked to be invited by the police.
